Looking back at prior year results
Ah, reminiscing...
Some of my favorite comments and decisions from prior years:
All time favorite, the Katie/Luke ruling from 2007:
A ruling: Katie and Luke, 1 or 2 votes. After taking into account input from clearly biased parties, I have decided to award 2 votes. When does life begin? Clearly at conception. As to the plea that Luke is incapble of voting due to lack of a maturity... This was certainly a compelling arguement, but upon examination of the other voter's maturity levels, I would have had to disqualify all of them if I disqualifed Luke.
Ah, then in 2008, the controversial happened:
And the winner is: Butterfly
(super delegate voting is never fully understood, but very effective in manipulating results)

Easter Egg, 2010 Rules
rules: submit anything you want, but must include an identifiable egg.
deadline for submission: trying to go easy on everyone, let's say 10pm on Saturday night, Cincinnati time.
I will post the eggs right away on Saturday night.
Voting will be all day Sunday AND Monday, closing at 6pm on Monday night, Cincinnati time.
All submissions to be emailed to:
karl.monk@gmail.com
Submission must include:
1. name of submission - credit will be given for creative and thought provoking names.
2. DO NOT tell me who made the egg. You will have time to take credit after you win.
When I post the egg, I won't give a clue who submitted the egg.
3. All day Sunday and Monday the voting will be open to an international audience.
4. I will tally the votes after 6pm Monday, write a summary of the votes and comments and publish the winner.
5. Should your egg or the comments associated / solicited by your egg excite, extra credit may be given.
6. Multiple submissions are welcome.
7. When you vote, please, identify yourself. We only want one vote per person.
8. You may vote for 1st, 2nd, 3rd or just 1 or none.
9. Votes by even the little ones are welcome, so come on Sam and Luke!
If anyone has suggestions for additional rules or changes, please submit to me at your leisure.
Check the blog for the final rules, I will post them there.

Pain d'Epi
Mary whipped up some bread to go with dinner tonight. This is one of my favorites and she's figured out how to make it at home. Pain d'Epi in English is Wheat Stalk Bread.
The shape is that of a golden wheat stalk in the field. The crunchy tips are to die for. You break off a piece and then you go to heaven!

He's a senator now at the law school (or will be next year).

The Rise and Fall of Young Hearts
Danny's album is almost done. The music has been out in New Jersey getting mastered. The final audio has been approved. The art work for the CD cover is done, approved and at the printer. Right now the publisher is printing the CDs and the CD covers. Danny expects the finished product to be shipped @ Feb 15. Danny will have CDs to sell and his music will be sold on iTunes. It's a start. Here is a copy of the proof of the CD artwork.

Katie, need some help here
The sentance:
Don't even remember I was there.
Syntax:
Since memory is something in the present, "don't" seems correct.
It sounds strange.
Saying, Didn't even remember I was there would indicate I currently do remember, which is not the case.
Your thoughts?
(I know this is addressed to Katie, but if any of you other 'wanna bees' have an opinion, I will read them, but probably only believe Katie. Of course, you could wait until she responds, then agree, but that won't earn you any points.)

Never knew I lived in Kentucky
Today I found a report card from a school named Barkley in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Don't even remember I was there. Inside it says from: Jan 28 to Mar 1, 1963.

I came across the Atlantic on this in February 1961. I think it was my last cruise. Haven't been on one since.

Homemake Hamburger and Hot Dog Buns
This is no kidding. Today I had the best hamburger and hot dog I've ever had. These buns were to die for. Mary made these from scratch. Amazing!!
