close up of this caterpiller, notive the white eggs on the face, about 1/32 of an inch large. They are wasp eggs which will hatch and burrow into the caterpiller. They will feed off the fat and keep the it alive for as long as possible before feeding off the internal organs causing the caterpillar to die. This guy has about 2 days of life left.
