How does Mary's garden grow?

Nice mulch pile. A three binner of course. Far right bin closest to harvesting.

So, what do you think the neighbors are saying? Humm... she must be nuts.

So, the last two pictures are artichokes, a perennial plant now adorning the front yard. Three plants per box, 10 'chokes per plant, none this year, next year a harvest.
The answer is: in square foot rows.

Keep those sheet clean! When the economy tanks, we're all moving in!

The neighbors might think you are crazy, but I think they look great, and you may need the pink gun to keep the thieves away. And the deer.

Hey, Monks! Will you be accepting outside submissions for the egg-decorating contest this year? I hope so! I have something in the works.
